18-taong gulang na Pilipinong si Kai Zachary Sotto, magiging kauna-unahang buong dugong Pilipino na sasali sa liga ng NBA, sa NBA G-League. Si Sotto ay mula sa Las Piñas at anak ng dati ring basketbolistang si Ervin Sotto. Inaasahang magsisimula si Sotto ng kaniyang NBA career sa taong 2020-2021 na bahagi. Noong elementarya ay naglaro siya sa Saint Francis of Assisi sa Las Piñas, at noong Abril ng taong 2016, siya ay nag-aral na sa Ateneo De Manila High School sa Quezon City at sumali sa Ateneo Blue Eaglets. Noong ika-9 ng Nobyembre, 2019, kaniyang inanunsyo na sasali siya sa The Skill Program na gaganapin sa Atlanta, Georgia. Mula noon ay mas marami na siyang nakamit at palapit na siya nang palapit sa kaniyang pangarap na makapaglaro sa NBA. Inaasahang siya ay magiging mahusay na sentro lalo na't siya ay 2.18 metro ang tangkad. Ang balitang siya ay sasali sa NBA G-League ay higit na ikinatuwa ng mga Pilipino lalong-lalo na ang mga Pilipinong tagahanga ng larong basketbol.

Zach Zachary Sotto, an 18-year-old Filipino will become the first full-blooded Filipino to join the NBA league. Sotto is from Las Piñas and the son of former basketball player Ervin Sotto. Sotto is expected to start his NBA career in the 2020-2021 season.
In elementary school, he played at Saint Francis of Assisi in Las Piñas, and in April of 2016, he attended Ateneo De Manila High School in Quezon City. He joined the Ateneo Blue Eagles. On November 9, 2019, he announced that he would be joining the “Skill Program” held in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then he has gained more and had came closer to his dream of playing in the NBA.
He is expected to be a good center especially he is 2.18m tall. The news that he will be joining the NBA G-League is a great news to Filipinos especially to the Filipino fan of basketball.
