Another year, another night to remember. Prom 2020 is approaching and everyone is thrilled to spend the night with their friends and loved ones. Weeks before the night, you will notice everyone preparing their songs and the dances. Everyone is practicing weekly to perfect the dance. The day before prom, selected students came to practice the production number and the SGO went to prepare the venue. Some of us took this opportunity to get to know the other students better and spend more time with them. The morning of the occasion, most girls went in a hotel room to get their makeup and hair done. People came with their guests and took pictures together. When the program started, you will be greeted by the Master of Ceremonies, Miss Hermilline Athina Bravo and Miss Marvilee Torion, who instructed everyone to line up by grade outside the entrance and everyone was introduced. As everyone sat down Krisana Mae Vicena led the english prayer and Tasneem Yehia led the arabic prayer. Soon after Demie Ellaine Gomez led the national anthem and selected students performed a beautiful production number. For the opening remarks, Anthony Kier Carbonel and Michelle Kyle Balba gave us a really warm welcome and Mrs. Gracia Celia Nickel gave us a thoughtful message to ponder entirely. For the second part of the program, the Transferring of the Key of Responsibility to the newly elected SGO officers. Most of the speeches were said as followed; like the Reading of Class Prophecy by Kirsten Mae Arada and the Reading of the Last Will and Testament by Rochelle Bana Tolentino, Kacey Louise Arada and Jonathan Cacatian. After that, the grades 10, 11 and 12 performed the traditional Rigodon dance.

Some time later, we were all starving so when they announced that the food was ready and we could eat, everyone formed in lines and took food. There were all kinds of food, sweets and snacks. There was even different flavoured ice cream. When we had time, we all went to the photobooth to take pictures with our friends, classmates and even teachers. Too bad there was not enough time for us to take more pictures with everyone at the photobooth or just with our phones. Once we were done eating and taking pictures, we were asked to sit down and watch the class performances. Everyone’s dances were amazingly beautiful and really entertaining to watch. Then the separate dances came. There were dances for the guys, girls, the once in a relationship and the once who are single. Even if we were “grouped”, we all had a good time trying to get to know each other.

For the election of the Prom King and Queen, the top ten girls and boys will have to walk the runway and that's how the judges pick for the top one and the Prom King was Ivan Manalang and the Prom Queen was Maria Karylle Bruce. Mrs. Luz C. Taa gave us the closing remarks and wrapped up the wonderful night to remember. Before everyone left in a hurry, some tried to take a couple more photo booth pictures and others took their things from the hotel room. The SGO Officers stayed behind to clean up the venue. Everyone had a good time and got to know each other better. We are all hoping to have another year of prom and lets hope we can make the next one 10x more fun.
